The Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) project, undertaken by our subsidiary Ingress AOI Technologies Sdn Bhd (IATSB) less than a year ago, marked its success through a ceremonial launch graced by the Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP) of Malaysia Datuk Ewon Benedick on 4 June 2024.
Also present to commemorate and celebrate with us at our plant in Serendah, Rawang were senior management representatives of our esteemed business partners from Perodua, D-Act Co., Ltd of Japan and the Malaysian Industrial Development Finance Berhad (MIDF).
IATSB was a proud recipient of the RM1 million Vendor Innovation and Commercialisation Grant (GIPV) under KUSKOP’s Vendor Development Program (PPV) for auto industry management, which signifies the government’s recognition and support of the project. Aimed at empowering companies to create solutions in enhancing operational efficiencies, the grant helped Ingress to move towards technological advancements with minimal costs.
Achieving a 60% reduction in workforce dependency is a testament to the effectiveness of the developed system. Leveraging in a computerized program for a modernized storage and retrieval system with minimal equipment support, demonstrates Ingress’ commitment and alignment with the government's goals for Industry 4.0. This initiative would not only benefit the company in improved productivity and revenue growth, but also the broader industrial landscape by fostering innovation and competitiveness.
